Party and Group Rental FAQ's

Q1: How long is a party session?  Can we reserve it for longer if we want more time?

A1: A  session runs about 2 to 2.5 hours.  This will include the drivers meeting, practice sessions,                2-3 qualifying heat races, the main events (A and B mains), breaks for your party to celebrate/talk.        If you want a longer session for more racing or more time to be with your friends, family or                    coworkers, please discuss that with us and we can certainly allow more track or reservation time            for an added fee.

Q2: What ages are best to attend and drive the cars?

A2:This is the fun part!  10 year olds can race right along side grandma and grandpa! We have found        that children under around the age of 10 may not have the coordination quite yet for these cars.          This is of course just an estimate and we can leave it up to the parents to decide based on each          child and their own capability.   We do reserve the right to ask a child to not race if we see                    excessive damage to the cars.  We want everyone to participate and will do all we can to help              anyone race!  We can electronically slow the cars and that may often help children around 10                years old.

Q3: Do we get to pick our own car?

A3:Yes! We will have the cars out there for you and you can choose which one you like best and you          will race with that one for the day. (they are all the same  performance - so it all comes down to driving!)

Q4: What if I break and damage a car?

A4: Trust us...we ALL wreck and break our cars.  Even the top champions wreck and break.  These               cars are very tough but not indestructible especially knowing they are going at 200MPH scale               speeds!  And don't worry, if your car breaks during a race we will try to quickly fix it if we can to            get your back out there.  But if not, we will fix it before the next race or get you a new car.    You            won't be out for the day or at all responsible for the break.  That just happens in racing!

Q5: Will you supply food and drinks?  What will you provide?

A5:  At this time, we cannot provide food and drinks but will have everything ready for you to bring              anything you like or have delivered.  If you do decide to have food/drinks delivered, We can                  receive your food order and store it for you if needed in our refrigerator/freezer.  

        We will provide: Plates, Napkins, Cups, and Silverware/Knives if needed.

 

NOTE:  We DO NOT allow drinking and driving.  :-) .  We do not permit alcohol in the facility.

Q6: Why do you have breaks between each qualifying heats and main events?

A6: We want to give your party time to enjoy and explore the track, talk, and celebrate if you are                 having a special occasion.  We also need some time to charge up the cars, repair any breaks, and         set up the main events.  We also make ourselves available to you to help with your party or                   answer questions.

Q7: Will we have the track all to ourselves?

A7: You will have a reserved area for your party that will be only for you during your session and only           your party will be on the track during your races.  When you are not racing on the track, we will             open up the track to our regular racers that come to practice and tune their cars.  When it is your         time to race again, we will clear the track just for you.   You will likely enjoy seeing our                             regular racers as they are FAST and you can see how they drive their cars.

Q8: How many racers can I bring?  What do you mean that more can attend but not race?

A8: We highly suggest that you have at least 4 racers and we can accommodate a maximum of 12.             We can possibly have more racers, just call and ask. We WELCOME anyone else in your group to         attend and we can virtually guarantee they will have a great time too.  There is a lot to see and             watching the racing action is FUN!  We will also have the racers work on their own cars.  We have         lots of extra space for others of your party to attend and watch if they do not want to race.

Q9: How far in advance can I reserve a party session?  Can I reserve with short notice?

A9: We can reserve for months in advance.  Just contact us and let us know and we can make it                   happen.  We would like at least 24-48 hours notice if you need a last minute reservation.   If we             have an open time slot we can very likely accommodate you.

Q10: Can I come in and see the track and your facility before I reserve?

A10: Absolutely!  You can walk in any time and see the track and the cars that we use and the area              where your party will be.   However, our specialized event staff isn't always on site during normal           business hours so please contact us if you would like to meet in person at The Racers Den and            discuss your party.

Q11: What do you mean this is hands-on and interactive?

A11: We want all of your party to leave knowing more about the fun sport of RC racing! We will have           all of your party attend the Drivers Meeting (not just for the drivers) and teach you all about the            parts of your car, how you adjust them for performance, and more!  We also will have everyone           (that wants to) "turn marshal" during the race to help get the cars back on track that get stuck.             You will see how fun it is!

Q12: Is this indoor or outdoor?

A12: The Racers Den is a full indoor carpeted track!  So you can escape the summer heat and winter             cold and know your party will not be ruined by weather.
